The sillohettes... always seems to give photos a romantic tone. I doubt this was the desired effect... but maybe you can see a lot of symbolism in the sunset. end of a day... end of an era.
What a nice prison
No, really, looks great.
I lived many years near such a places and even was working as a civilian engineer in one later. It evokes a nostalgia.
Good shot !
beautiful. though i must say, if you hadve gotten a little closer in, and simplified the silhouette, it might be a little more visually impacting upon first glance, since the actual fence and house and lampost are a little much to soak in on top of the sunset, perhaps.
not that it really matters, its still a wonderful shot. i need some soda.
Ah yes. This reminds me of either my mother-in-law or that time I was a smuggler on the great, green, greasy Zambezi. Tampons and Cuban cigars, that was my game, and I would have made a fortune too if it wasn't for that damned hippo. He came up with a tremendous snuffle right next to me as I was preparing to sample one of the cigars. Startled, I dropped the match onto the tampons and the whole shebang went up in aromatic, yet toxic cloud. Foiled again.
